Biochemistry explores the chemistry of living systems and the molecular processes that make life possible. The program connects chemistry and biology through subjects such as molecular biology, enzymes, metabolism, proteins, and cellular processes.
Students gain practical laboratory experience while developing the ability to understand biological processes at the molecular level, analyze experimental results, and work with scientific methods. The degree provides preparation for careers and further study in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical and research laboratories, food and related industries, and the life sciences.
